Phone Counseling

What is phone counseling?

Phone counseling is an excellent method of getting the help you want. According to an April 2002 study published by the Journal of Counseling Psychology, 68% of the respondents reported feeling very or completely satisfied with their phone counseling and 53% reported feeling better, after as few as one phone session!

Phone counseling is convenient and confidential. You don’t have to allow for travel time, leave the office, or hire a babysitter. Phone counseling occurs behind the closed doors of your office or the comfort of your home – you decide. And it is completely confidential. There are no reports filed with your employer or insurance company. There is no concern of who might see your car parked outside the counselor’s office or who you might run into in the waiting room. No one will know you’ve had a counseling session unless you tell them.

Who will I be talking to?

Phone counseling is provided by Jeff Murrah, a Licensed Professional Counselor, who adheres to the strictest professionalism. Jeff is also a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist and Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor. With over twenty-five years’ experience, he is qualified to deal with most issues. His style has been characterised as ‘results-oriented’ and ‘direct.’ Most issues can be dealt with in 4-7 sessions.

What’s the next step?

If you believe phone counseling is right for you, email jeff@restorethefamily.com. A time for you (approximately 50 minutes) will be reserved and we will request your credit card information for payment. You will also be asked to fill out a brief, confidential intake form to be emailed or faxed back to Jeff before your first appointment. That’s all there is to it! Then at your scheduled time, simply call the office for your counseling session. If you have further questions, please call or email. We’re here to help.
